ANNOUNCING OUR First virtual solo COMPETITION

Calling Young Pianists!

Arizona Piano Institute is pleased to announce its first Virtual Solo Competition in light of the COVID-19 pandemic to encourage and offer more opportunities to young pianists during this difficult time in the arts arena. API moved all its programs online this season and shall continue doing so until it is safe to resume in-person activities.

Submissions for the Solo Competition are due March 15, 2021, and results will be announced by April 15, 2021. Solo Competition Registration opens February 15, 2021.

The Competition is open to all North American residents and aspiring pianists ages 25 and under, and comprises three divisions:

  • Aspiring Professional Division: ages 18-25

  • Senior Division: ages 14-17

  • Junior Division: ages 13 and under

Ten total prizes—monetary awards (including a special Arizona Prize), API Summer Festival scholarships, and performance engagements—will be awarded by an esteemed jury panel of international renown:

Please see the Rules and Regulations for eligibility and details before applying or directing any questions to Dr. Elias-Axel Pettersson, Competition Chairman, at info@azpianoinstitute.org.

Best of luck to all contestants!
