The Arizona Piano Institute Heritage Scholarship, founded by API student Alexander Tam, honors students dedicated to the art of fine pianism, recognizes their continued commitment to excellence in performance, and aids those demonstrating financial need.
“As an attendee of Arizona Piano Institute since its inception, I can unequivocally say that API has been a deeply enriching and rewarding experience. I am especially grateful for the tireless dedication of the teachers and staff—due to their teaching and support, I have been able to succeed in piano competitions throughout Arizona. I would like to take what I have earned and pay it forward by giving another dedicated student the opportunity to attend API, when he or she might not be able to otherwise. It is my sincere hope that these young pianists will be able to take as much out of API as I have—and, in the process, grow not only as musicians, but as young men and women as well.”
